Alright, I realize that I send you all to Oliver Willis a lot…but I’m going to do it again.  Hey, I never claimed to be reporting the news.

     Anyway, here’s a link to an Oliver Willis article about how some Faux news anchor wants the president to give Karl Rove a medal because (get this) Valerie Plame and Ambassador Wilson are traitors for disagreeing with Dear Leader.

     So, let me get this straight:

     Two long-time civil servants with previously spotless records, who’s ability and loyalty have never been questioned in decades of service are, just like that (snaps fingers) turning traitor?  And they are less believable than Karl Rove; why?  Because they are against war?  We don’t even know that.  All we know is that they, like an increasing percentage of the population of this country, believed that the war in Iraq is a detour in the war on terror.

     Yeah, and Richard Clark didn’t think that the Bush policy machine was inherently flawed and leading us down the road to disaster:  he just thought he’d roll over thirty years of loyal and solid civil service as a staunch Republican in order to curry favor with a Democrat.

     Same with Paul O’Neil.

     And the same people spreading this smear were the same people who had half the people believing that Kerry had dishonored this country by ACTUALLY GOING TO WAR when he opposed it, while Dear Leader upheld the honor of America by supporting the war and fraudulently staying home.

     And they are the same people who, when McCain was running against “W” for the Republican nomination, were calling up southern voters and saying that McCain had a “black baby” and running around implying that he had betrayed his country as a POW in Vietnam.

     Right.  I wonder if I can get the Republican War Machine to market this bit of ocean-front property I have in Iowa.
