No shock that I'm Mal:
Rebel who got the big smack-down.
Pervasive sense of impending doom.
Bad attitude toward the human race in general.
Unwavering loyalty to "my" people.
Discomfort with intimacy.
History of a tendency toward Puritanism despite being very, very angry with God.
Stripped-down skeleton of an ethical system that is unreasonably ridged in some way yet strangely flexible in others.
Harboring known fugitives?... Well, OK. Not yet. I'm a work in progress...
...but if you have to be someone, and you can't be Zoë..."Capt'n Tightpants" is the best one to be. People like us, we get to go to the "special hell".
[update: Bob Wagner asked me “What war were you in?“ and I realized that, while none of the questions actually ask “were you in a war?“ that could be the implication. So I re-answered the questions from that perspective...and that understandably changed my score. While I had answered “no gorram way“ to have you suffered in a war the first time, I still got 100% Mal. I went down to 94% when I changed “Has war taken something important from you? from slightly shiney to neutral. Which is weird, I would have thought both answers would lower one's Mal score. Anyway, this has lead to a lot of thoughts about war that might make a new blog entry.]

Tell 'em I ain't coming back
Burn the land and boil the sea -
You can't take the sky from me!"

The Captain. You are the captain of the ship, so the crew are your responsibility. You just want to do the job, get paid and keep flying. Why is that always so hard? |
