I was going to be done with "300" commentary from conservatives...but Karen sent me this one and I couldn't resist.

Geez! I saw the movie and *loved* it! Why can't some people be entertained?

It was a fun movie, and VERY entertaining. But I guess a lot of people saw a LOT of politics in it. I have to admit, I wondered at a couple of points if there was a failed attempt to make a political statement, at some points. It's just that nothing held together into a coherant "statement" about anything other than telling the story.

Of course, one of the goals of an epic story is for people to identify with the hero...so I guess it succeeded. :-)
