Folding, spindeling, and mutilating lauguage for fun since Aug, 2004

Oh No! A black man making a plausible run for the Presidency of the United States inspires a school drill team of black youths to make up a drill about how they see hope for their futures as Architects, Doctors, and Entrepreneurs! In other news, kids praying to a cardboard cut-out of George W. Bush and vowing to bring about a one-world theocracy is just wholesome fun.

OMG! Where DO you find this stuff? The second video is just scary! One of those kids (if not more) is the next Timothy McVeigh.

The first video is actually quite cool.

Oh, and I love the quote by Marcus Cole. I think many people feel that way now. You've captured the "moment" very well.

I'm glad you like the Marcus Cole case you didn't know...Marcus cole is a fictional Character from the TV show Babylon Five.

The full quote in context goes like this:

[Marcus has just cleared out a bar, single-handedly]

Lennier: I see they trained you well back home.
Marcus Cole: Well, they said I was carrying around a lot of repressed anger.
Lennier: And?
Marcus Cole: I'm not repressed anymore!

unfortunatly, I had to compress it a little, as the full thing would not fit in the feild.

Words truly fail me.

You don't see the similarities between the first video and the Hitler Youth? You must be one of those namby-pamby liberals who thinks that "stepping" and drill teams and related activities have some connection to the African-American culture, that kids expressing entheusiasm for a political figure is a positive indicator that tomorrows youth care about their future, and who thinks that a chant about "personal responsibility", ideals, and ambitions is OK!

How do you sleep at night?

I see you Cole quote and add on a Sebastian:

"How do you know the chosen ones? No greater love hath a man than he lay down his life for his friend. Not for millions, not for glory, not for fame... for one person. In the dark. Where no one will ever know or see."
-- Sebastian, "Comes the Inquisitor"

Which has pretty much been my attitude post 9/11 in response to the the "kill em all" folk that went over the edge...

Well, done. I also like:

Stephen Franklin: A lot of folks around here seem to think that lurkers deserve what they get. They figure it's better to let them die and…

Marcus Cole: "…and thus deplete the surplus population." Dickens! You know, um…I used to think that it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them? So, now I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe.

I think that it would have added to your rejection of the right if you'd also included the link to the poster of this video

While there is a certain red flag that pops up anytime that I see indoctrination of any kind, I'm certainly for indoctrinating kids to be responsible individuals. That's part of what the public education system is supposed to be about; we just generally don't call it indoctrination.

My biggest worry is that these kids will become extremely disillusioned if Obama loses. Hopefully, he will stay in the public eye to maintain their optimism for future, even if he doesn't become the next president of the United States.

eeek! You snuck in an ORI training clip without warning!
Tuesday, 07 October 2008 06:35:26 (Central Standard Time, UTC-06:00)

I think you have your terms confused. If it makes people vote Republican, it is NOT indoctrination. If it has nothing to do with voting Repulican, or discouorages voting Republican is IS indoctrination.

I hope this helps you!
