Here's a link to a story defending the right of an employer to dictate an employee's sexual behavior in her own home.

As much as I am comitted to religious freedom, I am beginning to see the point that we would be better off without these people and their poisonous ideas.  I realize that this is a little-known regressivist e-rag...but the fact remains that a woman was ordered by her employer to get married to her live in boyfriend, leave him, or quite her job.

AND, IT WENT TO COURT.

AND there are people who feel the court should have upheld the employer and not the wronged employee.

These people are enemies of the right of conscience, the right to free thought, the right to personal freedom of every kind.  They are enemies to your right to live on your own terms as a human being.

They have the right to believe whatever they want to believe, but no matter what they believe, that right ends when their beliefs infringe on the rights of others to live as they choose, according to their conscience.

UPDATE: There are seven states with anti-cohabitation laws: Florida, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Virginia, and West Virginia.  So, if you want to live together with someone and you aren't married to them, don't do it in any of these states.

My bedroom; my choice. Everyone else can just mind their own business. I can't believe that an employer would feel justified in making such a demand!

Karen,

But don't you understand that what goes on in the privacy of your own bedroom can tear apart MY family by sending out little evil demonic spiritual bullets and riddling the family institution full of teeny tiny holes where evil can get in and, through eddies in the space-time continuum, reach destroy all families in America?

Becuase you feel free to violate God's will by having sex with someone you are not married to, marriages will dissolve, AIDS will spread, teenagers will get pregnant, there'll be dogs and cats sleeping together, and there will be plagues of locusts and the rivers will run with blood.

And when that happens, the terrorist will have won.

And when the terrorists have won, they will take away our freedom.

If you didn't hate freedom so much, you wouldn't insist on having the right to make your own choices.

geeze...how selfish of you.

Now snap on that chasitity belt, get to work and find yourself a husband and start popping out kids before I call the cops.

Freedom hater.

Interesting. The state that my father is from (and currently living in - Mississippi) and the state that I'm from (and my mother is currently living in - North Dakota) both have the anti-cohabitation law. Although my parents are married, they haven't lived together for years. I wonder if there is an anti-anti-cohabitation law for married people that DON'T live together as God intended? ;-)
