He stuck a stick into a hornet's nest, and stirred it around real good.

And now a lot of REALLY SMART hornets are all abuzz.

But I'm guessing that, instead of running away and jumping in a lake like a sensible person (even cartoon characters know that's the appropriate response to the situation), he's going to just stand there swatting ineffectually at them while they outmaneuver him at every turn.

Or maybe he'll just whine and cry about how they are oppressing him for his religion.

Hi Teresa-

Good post, thanks. I wonder where he gets the figure for 2/3 of doctors? Amazing. I'd have to think twice before I let this guy any where near my head.

Sorry about the 'Jesus Camp' reference the other day. Hope I didn't suggest something that inadvertently ruined your night. I'm really on the fence now about renting it. I think it would just freak me out too much.

Yeah, I'm starting to think I'm going to have to interview doctors about their religious beliefs before I take their advice or seek treatment from them. They can't deny God if their "real" Christians, right?

About the Jesus Camp, I have a hard time with it, because it is a natural extension of what I saw during my brief time in that world when I was little. I've never really worried about having a hard time with things. They are what they are, and I just have to adjust to that.

As for what your reactions to Jesus Camp might should know that it's not just this bunch. There's also a guy named Ron Luce who runs a group of "ministries" aimed at teenagers and young adults. Do a search on "Teen Mania" "Aquire the Fire" (ATF -NICE huh?) or "Honor Academy".

You might feel better if you first read my post "push the buttons, push the buttons push the buttons." about the Ron Luce phenomenon.
