Did G. Gordon Liddy really say that the term “neocon“ is an anti-Semitic hate term?  REally?  Update:  Link Fixed!  Thanks Karen for bringing it to my attention.

So you can’t dislike the Neoconservative agenda without being Anti-Semitic?

     Um…wow.

Is this a bad time to mention that the Neocon ideology is inherently hostile to democracy and the sovereignty of the individual?

While it is true that Leo Strauss, the so-called “godfather of the neoconservative movement” was Jewish, and that much of his philosophy has some of its roots in Jewish scholarship, it is a real stretch to say that resistance to the neocon ideology and dislike of the neoconservative “cabal” constitutes anti-Semitism.

That’s crazy talk.  That’s like saying that objecting to smog is a hate crime against auto industry workers.  Actually, never mind.  That sounds just like our man Liddy.

I might add that Pat Buchanan made at least one public statement about how President Bush was being mislead by group of neocons into ill-advised action in Iraq.  I notice that he has not been accused of anti-Semitism by any Right-wing pundits.

     G. Gordon Liddy :  How has he not been given a “Douchbag of Liberty” award?  Seriously.

Another update:  I just was wondering Limbaugh's caller said, and Limbaugh agreed, that the Wellstone memorial was “exploiting death”.  I don't see how, when the man was so clearly political, and so clearly a political competitor, and so clearly passionate about advancing the progressive cause...how could you NOT make the speeches made at his memorial to honor him?  How could you NOT talk about what he believed, and what he would have wanted?  And how could it NOT be political?

So:  The Wellstone memorial was “exploiting death”.  What then, do you call the macabre “Month of National Mourning” for Reagan?  As far as I can see, it was the same thing, only magnified to monstrous proportions, on a mile-wide bandwidth.  they did everything but make his corpse dance on strings.

They want us to forget about Wellstone because he was an effective liberal...and he was murdered by the GOP. So they think the less attention we pay to him in any way, the better off they are. if no one is thinking about him, no one can be asking questions about the Colemna/Bush connections to his death.

OK, Cubliness:

You know me. You know I do not support Bush or any of the neo-cons.

But could I ask where you are possibly finding links between Wellstone's death due to ice on the wings of his airplane, and a conspiracy by Bush (and others)?

I mean, don't get me wrong, if there was - it's murder. And murder gets you impeached. I'd love to see W impeached.

But, I just don't see it. Are there news pieces that support this?

Good God. Id ask if these people know no shame but I already know the answer. I'd love to see where they are getting some of the statements they claim she made. Y'ever notice how these fascist jack-offs are real quick to say "So and so said thus and such" but a whole lot slower to say "And if you don't believe me you can go to this broadcast date and that clip or this article and that quote" ? Pathetic. If a democrat were in the Whitehouse now Mrs Sheehan would be touted as a national hero by the same people who are raking her over the coals right now. Of course if there were a democrat in the Whitehouse Mrs Sheehans son would probably still be alive because WE WOULDNT BE THERE RIGHT NOW
