1.  The pruney old Monex lady has been on the T.V freaking you out and trying to scare you into buying gold for more than six months.

...OK, your turn.  What's you darkly sarcastic sign that tells you that you're in a recession?

When the alleged President and his sycophants start running around the country reassuring their supporters that the economy is doing fine?

My client -- a multi-national with over 150 years history in business -- acting like they have no cash for anything, and managing personnel with tactics that went out in fifties?

Oh, wait; they did that before the recession.

Never mind.

Six months? I've been hearing those ads for over three years now...

When our "leaders" want to give us "free" money in the hopes that we'll rush out and buy new stuff instead of saving it or paying down some of the debt we already have - while at the same time they're telling us they must raise tax rates and fees because they can't operate with their current revenue levels.

When the heat signature generated by the printing presses at the Federal Reserve sets off alarms in NORAD.

Mark,

Silly Mark...our leaders aren't talking about giving *US* free money. They are talking about giving our corporate masters free money to put in their Cayman Island accounts.

But yeah...otherwise...good point.

I really only started seeing the Monex commercials a little over a year ago, but there is one in almost every commercial spot now.

But what REALLY weirds me out are the "We'll buy your 'scrap gold' through the mail" commercials.

LOL - I've seen those, too! What idiot would send away their jewelry and hope they get a good price on it? Next thing you know there will be a mail based pawn shop! "Send us your junk and we'll send you a check! Radios, appliances, guns, whatever. You send it and we'll pay you REAL money!"
