I got a letter from a reader about her dad sending her a "letter" from "Dr." Dobson's organization.

It is basically a story of what the next four years will be like after an Obama presidency.

And apparently, Barak Obama is going to surrender us to "the gay agenda".

I thought about coming up with all sorts of clever stuff to say about it, but I just don't have the heart.

The letter is a disgusting, hateful, paranoid, raving peice of trash.

And PZ Myers just did a better job on it than I would.

So I'm just going to give you a link to a horrifying video of the sorts of people who believe this stuff and feel they should run the country to protect us from "the gays".

(Hat tip: Jason Bock - thanks alot Jason...I've been having trouble falling asleep since I watched it)

This preacher guy is apparently only talking to extremely straight men. His billboard thing is just stupid.

'If you see a billboard of a scantily clad woman, are you tempted to commit the sin of the eyes by looking at it? Yes, it is in your nature. So is stealing and other sins. However, are you temped to look at a billboard of a man in his underwear? No, it's not in your nature.'

I don't know about you, but guys in underwear can be quite attractive. Though, even as a woman who is sexually attracted to men, I find scantily naked women more attractive than naked men. However, that doesn't mean that a guy isn't often eye candy!

This man is so full of hate!

Hmm...he says that the only "sodomites" in the Bible are rapists and molesters. That's interesting. I've heard a similar line of argument used before about other things as well - that the only mention of X in the Bible is in a negative situation, therefore, X is bad.

karen, you bring up a good point. I read the reason scantily clad women are everywhere in advertising is because both men and women will be attracted (not necesarily in a lustful way, but women are just more attractive than men). beyond that he just seems to be missing the whole problem of homosexuality; homosexuals ARE attracted, in a lustful way, to persons of the same sex. What can one say besides F on that essay! I found the argument that everysingle homosexual in the Bible is a rapist or molester interesting; all three o them. not a very good sample size. Since they were also married, why pick out the homosexuality as the problem? Why not the married part? and since they were bisexuals...maybe committed homosexuals are just fine! But, more seriously, what do people who force themselves on others have to do with those who don't? why not take this as a lesson that rape is wrong, not just because you might impregnante a woman and the society has to deal with a child or some such social reason, but rather that there is such a thing as sexual indecency; that which is just for one's own pleasure with no thought for others and society (parties that get waaaaay out of hand). So many in te gay community want legal structures for their relationships to avoid a society of anything goes or a view of their sexuality or romantic relationships as being just for fun but as having serious spiritual import. Just my two cents. back to PB and J......penguins LOVE PB and J...
