Neil at 4Simpsons took his daughter to a Penguin Encounter for her birthday. He posted pictures. It looks like such an awesome experience for his daughter.

I think I would have done just about anything for an experiance like that when I was that age. Kudos to Neil.

And really, despite all the differences, how can you really be THAT different from a fellow penguin fan?

Thanks, Teresa! Ha - I forgot to work in the Bloom County stuff! I was toying with saying something about Penguin Lust but couldn't think of a good tie-in. I was a huge Bill the Cat fan in the 80's and named a cat after him. Ack! My daughter read all my old Bloom County books and loved them.

Yes, Bill and Opus in 08 - we finally found a pair of candidates we can agree on! Things are looking up.

As we've dicussed before, many of teh womens here have experienced more than a small attraction to the sensibly sweet and sensitive (but still very manly) Cutter John.
