I’ve been listening to a lot of Flogging Molly lately.  Gotta say, I like the Flogging Molly.  Their alternative credentials are solid.  Their sound is undeniably Celtic, but fused with classic rock, jazz and salted liberally with punk elements…and occasionally the solidly Celtic folk beat wanders into full-fledged Red-State American Country.  Though technically flawless, they somehow maintain a sense of spontaneity that is often lost as professional precision gained.  They dance blithely along the dangerous border where fusion becomes a muddled mess, without ever once putting a toe over the line.
