Today Adventure Boy came home and handed me a CD (Audioslave). A friend of his had loaned it to him, and he wanted me to pre-view it to make sure it had “appropriate content” for a 12-year-old.

I hope you’ll excuse me for feeling a little self-congratulatory. But I think that's just cool as hell. Somehow, the thought of him being allowed to drive in just a few short years doesn't seem so scary.

I'm very proud of him. On the other hand, we let him babysit Grasshopper last night, and when we came home we found three half-gallon cartons of ice cream neatly lined up on the counter from when they got themselves their bedtime snack...
...one was completely empty, one was half-full, and one was three-quarters full of completely melted ice cream.

So we're still learning...but if the hear is in the right place, I guess we can't complain if it takes the head a while to follow. :-)

Well, ice cream is one of the 4 major food groups: Pizza, cheese, chocolate and ice cream. (Some of the food groups are sometimes overlapping.)
