Talk about unhinged...

American Flag
At an Ohio campaign stop last week Obama gave a speech with a background of American flags which is quite common. However, if you look closely some of the flags are not American flags. The blue field has been changed to show an Obama seal. Yes, there are also stars but have no pattern and they do not add up to 50.

With Obama making his own seal and now this it looks like maybe he is putting some credence to the recent article by Stanley Kurtz in the National Review. Is he planning on creating an African county within the US.

I think the presence of these flags should be viewed with alarm. And I don't want to hear any looney left comments that they are only decoration. They ARE a modification of the American Flag.

Yes...let's not hear any excuses from the "loony left" about how these flags are not a sign that Obama is planning to create an African nation within the US...I guess the "Real Americans" over at have us over a barrel guys.  They have exposed the ancient liberal plot that is Ohio...

We can haz votes now?

I'm sure Confederate flags, when displayed, are only intended to be decorations.

Absolutely! Decorations that might or might not mean that the people who decorated the stage think that black people should still be slaves, and the Constitution should never have been ratified, and the Articles of Confederation are still the law of the land.

The presence of these idiots who didn't know it was the Ohio state flag (which is ok) and didn't bother to check before pouncing (NOT ok) is viewed by me with alarm.

No, there NOT decoration, dolt! The ARE the Ohio state flag! Jezus! Did this guy retract his stupid statements?

It's OK, the Dems are drifting so far right, they will catch up with your positions soon, and you will be able to proudly call yourself a "liberal" :-)

And you are always welcome here, of course.

I just went and looked, and saw no retraction. Several libs commented and told them that it was an Ohio State flag (they were scoffed and mocked), and someone posted a link to Michelle Malkin, who had to post that it was a state flag, due to of comments from readers... bad is it when Michelle Malkin has to fact check and admit that the crazy conservative rantings have no validity?

Anyway, no conservatives that I saw admitted that they were wrong. However, it may happen eventually.

The Dems are drifting to the right? You mean like Pelosi, Boxer, and the gay guy? Yeah! Sure! Shyeah, and monkeys might fly out of my butt!

Me? A liburuhl? Oh please shoot me now...

Yeah, that gay guy trying to clean up the financial deregulation mess that the (mostly) Republicans put in a bag, lit on fire and ran away from.

Honestly, I said "the gay guy" because I couldn't remember his name. Now that I have my memory back, we can refer to him as Barney Frank.

If he's trying to clean it up, it's because he let it get in such bad shape in the first place. Please don't try to pin this crap on one party or the other. They both had their hand in the till on this one. Barney Frank had the chance to work this out twice in the last 5 years. He neglected to do anything but defend them both times.

"These two entities—Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac—are not facing any kind of financial crisis," said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. "The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing."

I "got" the humor in your post. Apparently, dracut didn't get mine. Oh well, it's not the first time...
Tuesday, 04 November 2008 14:38:27 (Central Standard Time, UTC-06:00)
Nope. No humor for "the gay guy" comments.

Oh brother...

dracut, "the gay guy" comment was not an attempt at humor. I thought I explained that. You're wound up a bit tight, I think.

The "gay guy" comment seemed a little dismissive and negative about him being gay. I didn't assume that you were being rude, given your history of posting comments in support of marriage equality and equal rights in general.

However, I also don't think a person has to be wound particularly tight to get cranky over the way it seemed to come off in isolation (from your other statements regarding equal rights)
