It was a good day.  We started out with Kung Fu tests.

Bunny Boy squeeked out a pass on his third degree yellow belt test, and Adventure Boy passed most of his purple belt test.  He did twenty push-ups, but could not do them without stopping.  He also needs to make-up his 3 cart-wheels in a row, and the self-defense move, but he passed all the kicks and the 20 v-ups (ab training where you bring your feet and hands up to meet in the middle…sort of a double sit-up), as well as his form.

In our school you only need to re-take the parts of the test that you didn’t pass.

I judged today, and then Rocky came to pick us up and bring us to a Storytelling event that our friend, Paula was participating in.  We heard some really good stories, especially a really cute one involving my friend Paula, her daughter (my Kung Fu sister) Maggie, and a wayward science project.

Of course, Big Brain Comics was right next door….so…time was passed.  No new Abadazad issues yet.  The Big Brain guy said he thought the publisher went under.  Sniff.  I am not happy…there is badness in this.  Great badness.  Abadazad was good story told well.  But I got my missing Elektra issue, so there is goodness too…

After that, we sort of collapsed lunch and dinner together in one meal, at the local Hard Rock Café.

Then on to GameWorks for some fun arcade time.  Where I kicked Rocky’s ass at air hockey (Rocky says yeah…the same way Bush kicked Kerry’s ass).  OK, I won by two points...if that isn't a “mandate“, I don't know what is.

Bunny boy did really well with a snowmobile race simulator.  Rocky, Adventure Boy and Bunny Boy all played two games on that with linked machines.

Adventure Boy and Bunny Boy had two pod races, and then we went upstairs for some Cold Stone Cremery Ice Cream…so not on the diet...but I have a mandate.  I had athletic capital...and I intended to spend it...on chocolate, chocolate chip cookie dough Coldstone.  So there.

Tomorrow, I’m going to a tournament that my Kung Fu brother, Scott, told me about.  I plan on just fighting.  That’s what I like best anyway.  I should probably get out the information he gave me and figure out where I need to be, how to get there, and when I should be arriving…

     Yeah….

     ….better get on that.

Silly Trees. Two points is a "clear victory". THREE points is a "mandate".
