Folding, spindeling, and mutilating lauguage for fun since Aug, 2004

Ya know, the Democrats just called me asking for money.  I told the guy that I don't do anything over the phone.  I don't donate money, I don't order stuff from telemarketers.  I've even stopped doing surveys.

So he hung up on me.

No kidding, how rude and obnoxious.  Here I am, varnishing the ledge in my kid's room, juggling a paintbrush, a can of varnish, and a phone and he's interrupting my day to ask me for money and he can't just say "I understand, have a nice day? ".  He's got to hang up on me?  Sheesh.

I didn't even have a chance to ask to get taken off the list...but I'm sure they'll call me again and I'll get another chance.

I havn't been this annoyed with a political party since...oh yeah, the Republicans every five minutes for the last eight years.

Shit.  guess I'll still have to side with the dems, even if their telemarketers ARE rude.

Grumble.

My favorites are the proponents of the Twin's stadium right now. Every time they have called I've told them, politely, that I indeed *hate* the idea of having my tax dollars go towards a stadium for overpaid athletes. Still, I consistently receive calls saying their notes show that I have been a supporter of the stadium initiative. Yeah - I trust THEIR polls.

Next time I'll tell them *exactly* where they can shove their stadium.

I have two phones; my cell phone for people I know, and my landline for the internet and for making international calls. I haven't given the landline number to anyone, so anytime it rings, I just ignore it. I've only gotten one or two telemarketing calls on my cellphone, and I instructed them to take me off of their list.

It's amazing how often they call my landline, eventhough I don't give the number out!
