Folding, spindeling, and mutilating lauguage for fun since Aug, 2004

So today I have to put a second coat of varnish on the new ledge on the new half-walls in Adventure Boy's room, find some new blinds (the green ones in there now clash just so very SLIGHTLY with the sunshine gold of the half-walls, and the buttery yellow of the full walls), finish assembling, placing and filling our new bookshelves (We had aquired a LOT of new books since the last time we organized the library.  I didn't realize that nearly every shelf was stacked double deep).

Ya know, when people accuse me of "always having [my] nose buried in one of those dusty old books"...I always thought that it was hyperbole.  Now, as I sit here with my nose stuffed up with dust allergies, and my inhalor conveniently close in case I need it...I realize that it really, really wasn't.

Geeky household hint of the day:  Canned air is your friend.  It makes dusting books and ornate poly-resin dragon-head book ends so quick and easy.

The carpets are in, resting nicely on freshly installed carpet padding, the entertainment center is mostly returned to it's original state...and all that remains is to restore Rocky's office...which is on hold because the carpet is on back-order.

Well, back to it!

Hopefully Adventure Boy won't spend all of his time in his room. I read that while small quantities of yellow make a person perky, large quantities tend to correlate with stress and anxiety!
