Folding, spindeling, and mutilating lauguage for fun since Aug, 2004

A little over a year ago, in another blog, I created an entry about the South Beach diet.  AS a cute and cuddly way to express my feelings about it by the end of the four months that we were following it very strictly, I made up obscene mad-libs.

     You know…like.

“Wow.  This diet really (verbs)  donkey  (nouns).”

Well, the practice caught on in at least one friend’s household.  I got an e-mail from my friend Taylor in Chicago informing me that their household had started saying “verb donkey nouns” as a way of cleaning up their language around their toddler.

A friend who is a DJ at a club picked it up and used it in her spiel, and it brought the house down.

     That is sooooo cool!

Woot! And once again Theresa contributes to the overall level of linguistic surrealism in the wider world. Very cool hon.
Hugs!
