LOL! Interesting... Scary, too!

It just proves even an idiot can be right once in a while. I'd like to know why she supports him. Does she really think he supports her racism?

Mark,

Good question. I'm not sure that it matters to her that much if he supports her racism or not. Some people intend "anti-immigrant" rhetoric as racist code, and some do not. Some people interpret "anti-immigrant" rhetoric as racist code, and some do not.

Probably, the most important thing is that she knows he supports the things that she thinks are critical for her way of life to thrive...his stances on certain issues would be attractive to someone who would like more freedom to put those racist ideas into practice...get the government out of the way of her building the world that she wants to build.

Similar to why the theocrats like Ron Paul. Take the power away from the government that is in the way of them running the world the way they would like (I think the theocrats have more of a reason to feel this way, as they have the Institution of the church as their power base...whereas your run-of-the-mill neo-nazi organization is a bit more of a shoe-string proposition in comparison to the church.)

The thing they forget is that the government is in their way because most people want the government to be in their way. And since The People ARE the government (or are supposed to be,and would be if more people stepped up and participated), The People would still be in their way.

It would be a lot more chaotic, messy and dangerous for individuals, there would be more death and mayhem and individual, personal tragedy and it would probably not be great for our society...but The People would still be in their way.

The government is just their first and most difficult hurdle.
Teresa
