Those Gosh-darned pesky educated predictions backed up by research and facts.

How can Intelligent Design hope to compete?

Oh yeah.  They have Ben Stein.  Never mind.  His powers of snidely droning on and on about liberal fascism will prevail.  No one can withstand the power of his droll and slighly pouty drone.  The only people who listen to facts are effete snobs with alphabet soup after their names, and they will be the first ones up against the wall when the revolution comes.

Excellent clip.

I always ask my ID friends that if biology is controlled by a designer, then why can we do things like make hybred crops, domesticate animals, create new dog breeds etc. Sure seems like we're making practical use of evolution and genetics to our down design.

Yeah, they'll answer, but can you create life in a laboratory? can you make life come from nothing? No. All you can do is manipulate life that already exsists.

It sure does seem like a stumper...but it's encouraging to realize that by that logic all you have to do to convince them is to turn a lump of clay into Ben Stein. How difficult can that be? They're almost exactly the same anyway!

(I kid, I kid. I like Ben Stein. He is very amusing. The best part of Ferris Beuller's day off. Also, the best part of The Wonder Years.)
